Noticed some lovely paintings of patterns by
Leanne Shapton , illustrator and author, online in the
NY Times. These are some of my faves. Anyone who was in the Painting Department with me at
RISD will see- I still love pattern!!! I think the most simple thing can be the most beautiful sometimes.
