I couldn't resist this impulse buy at MUJI in Soho - a set of cookie cutters with all the letters in the alphabet. I always find such cool stuff there, and I noticed that they carry even more products in the online store . My son Rowan loves to cook with us, and I'm hoping Liam will too. I can't wait to make cookies with these and practice spelling words with them (once they get a little older of course!).

pattern paintings
Noticed some lovely paintings of patterns by Leanne Shapton , illustrator and author, online in the NY Times. These are some of my faves. Anyone who was in the Painting Department with me at RISD will see- I still love pattern!!! I think the most simple thing can be the most beautiful sometimes.

charming baby booties
I can't resist these adorable fortune cookie baby booties !
And these toddler sushi booties are to die for...
but I'm not sure if my 2 yr. old would love these or refuse to wear them. He's never had sushi, and our cat's name is Sushi, so I don't want to confuse him too much!
I spotted both of them in the uncommon goods catalog, but they seem easy enough to make. Imagine customizing fortunes for wonderful baby gifts!

New laminated cotton prints!
Timeless Treasures is introducing 3 new laminated cotton prints from my new "Portobello"
and "Vice Versa" collections.
Portobello
These are so cool- great for outdoor tablecloths, raincoats,
and water-proof bags.
I love the black and white leaf and houndstooth prints!

Portobello
Here's a sneak peek at my new "Portobello" collection for Timeless Treasures! The stripe and the ogee pattern (that's the one in the back) are also available on cotton canvas, which is perfect for throw pillows or tote bags. The inspiration for this group came from a gorgeous antique French fabric. Can't wait to see the beautiful quilt at Spring Quilt Market- I'll be sure to post a pic!
