I dropped into Pearl River Mart in Soho yesterday. It has always been one of my favorite inspiration spots- one never knows what one will find there. I loved these cute feathered birds and butterflies, sold by the box. I have an antique birdcage at home, with a fake feathered bird inside (my cat Sushi loves to bat at it). The birdcage selection at Pearl River is pretty impressive, but a little pricey. Still, it would be so fun to cover one of the cages with several birds, or perch them on a chandelier.
I absolutely loved this place when I visited. Would go regularly if I lived nearer New York (it's a little pricey when you live in Seattle).
